A new Czech based broadcaster called Television for Europe (or TFE TV) will launch on January 15, 2008, with German language transmissions on the Astra satellite at 19.2 degrees East. The station will be headquartered in the city of Plzen and broadcast a full entertainment programme including a breakfast show, quizzes, games, fashion shows and kids programming. It will also show adult programming at night. Television for Europe was awarded a licence by the Czech Radio and TV Council (RRTV) this June.
