The Polish MSO Multimedia Polska is reported to have acquired the fixed-line telephony and Internet company Intertel from Open-Net for PLN5.5 million (€1.5 million). Intertel is based in the town of Trzebin and owns its own infrastructure. Open-Net formerly had a 98.77% stake in Intertel, and Multimedia Polska has also paid PLN50,000 for the remaining 1.23%, held by local interests.
