The Russian broadcast company CTC Media, which is backed by Sweden’s MTG, has posted a operating revenue of $84.1 million (€58.4 million) for Q3 2007, or 33% more than in the corresponding period last year. At the same time, its net income amounted to $17.4 million, or over double the $8.4 million 12 months earlier. Over the first nine months of this year, its total operating revenue came to $310.4 million (+23%), while net income was $76.2 million (+16.9%). The company’s main TV operation CTC Network had an audience share of 8.7% in Q3 2007 (10.1% in Q3 2006), while Domashny Network claimed 1.9% (1.5%). CTC Media is currently extending its activities into Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
