Dutch defence officials have vehemently denied that missile ship HNLMS De Ruyter was responsible for the intermittent blackouts experience by subscribers to the YES satellite platform.
Israel had suggested the ship, which had been patrolling the Lebanese coast on behalf the UNIFIL maritime taskforce, was responsible for the disruption.
A senior Dutch official told The Jerusalem Post the vessel had gone through a detailed inspection that showed it was “100% not responsible”. He added that the Netherlands was expecting a clarification from the Israeli military on its earlier statement.
