Digital UK has given details of the digital switchover process in Scotland, beginning on November 6 next year, and running through until 2011. The switchover body will shortly commence a leafleting campaign explaining the various digital options.
The first transmitter to be upgraded will be Selkirk on the Scottish Borders. Digital UK has said the analogue TV signals will be replaced by a “stronger digital signal”.
The process will continue with South West Scotland in 2009 and most other parts of Scotland in 2010. The Black Hill transmitter, which includes Glasgow, will complete the switch in 2011.
