YES to restore confidence with free premium offer
Israeli satellite broadcaster YES is hoping to restore faith in the company by offering all of its subscribers free access to its premium channels for the next three months. The free offer will include sports, entertainment and movies in a package that is likely to cost the company several million shekels.
YES management are still refusing to talk directly about the cause of the intermittent disruptions to its satellite service that are believed to have been caused by a radar deployed by UNIFIL. The Dutch vessel HNLMS De Ruyter, anchored off the coast of the Lebanon, allegedly transmitted signals onto frequencies adjacent to those used by the satellite operator. YES has been free from interference for the past week. JC
