Cablecom has begun the outsource of its transfer and installation work to eight private companies. In future the Swiss cablenet will instead concentrate on the prioritisation and quality control of its network expansion and maintenance. 49 employees, predominantly service technicians but also construction managers and designers, are transferring from Cablecom to one of the eight companies with effect from November 1. Their terms of employment will remain unchanged for the next 12 months.
According to Cablecom, the eight companies will work on both a regional and national basis, and will be responsible for fault repair and general maintenance work.
