According to agency reports, 44% of homes in Slovenia had broadband Internet access in Q1 this year. The majority (29%) had an xDSL connection, with almost all the remainder (13%) a cable modem. All told, some 950,000 people, equivalent to 56% of the population aged between 10 and 74, regularly used the Internet in Q1 2007, or two percentage points more than a year earlier. Significantly, 16% of Internet users watched web-TV shows, while 21% made purchases over the Internet. The number of homes accessing the Internet meanwhile amounted to 58% of the total in Q1 2007, or four percentage points more than 12 months earlier.
