Spain’s Telefónica has said it has no plans to sell its 50% stake in the leading Brazilian mobile operator Vivo, according to agency reports. Indeed, it has added that it would like to buy the remaining 50%, which is currently held by Portugal Telecom, having already bid over €3 billion for the stake. For its part, Portugal Telecom would also like to buy out Telefónica to be become the sole owner of Vivo.
