The Italian pay-TV platform Sky Italia is adding five new channels to its berth in Eutelsat’s Hotbird neighbourhood. MTV Pulse, MTV Gold and VH1 joined the music package on October 1. They will be joined on October 15 by two new channels from the National Geographic stable; Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Music, a mix of music, culture and lifestyle.
Sky Italia broadcasts in the region of 170 TV and radio channels including five in the HD format. At the end of June 2007, Sky Italia held 4.2 million subscribers.
