Portuguese TV Cabo will launch two exclusive channels from Brazil’s TV Globo – Premiere Futebol Clube (football) and TV Globo Portugal – on October 10. This follows an agreement between Rede Globo, a major commercial broadcaster from Brazil, and PT Multimédia, owner of the TV Cabo networks.
The football channel will transmit live coverage from the main series of the Brazilian competition (A and B), the Campeonato Brasileiro, as well as all games from the Campeonatos Paulista, Carioca, Gaúcho, Mineiro and the Copa do Brasil.
TV Globo Portugal’s programme schedule will consist of a choice of TV Globo and Globosat programmes and will include mini-series, telenovelas, documentaries, series, news, sports, children’s programmes, talk shows, music and comedy.
The channels will be offered as a premium option by the operator at a charge of €15 a month for a bundle of two or €10 for each channel. With the new additions, TV Cabo now offer a total of 94 channels (69 channels in basic, 12 in premium and 13 radio stations), both via digital cable and DTH.
