Nokia has announced that it has signed new content partners to include in the Nokia Video Centre portal for direct access by consumers. The new partnerships are with CNN, IBN (a news channel in India), Jamba, Sony Pictures, RooftopComedy, ROK and Versaly Entertainment and give N-series users access to mobile videos on-the-go. YouTube and Reuters Video are already directly available, regardless of the mobile operator.
The Nokia Video Center offers N-series users one portal to access the best choice of mobile video content via 3G, WiFi or PC. Users can switch between a range of different video services, choosing from branded on-demand video, internet video podcasts and their own favorite videos. The Nokia Video Centre is available on the Nokia N95 and Nokia N95 8GB.
CNN, IBN, Jamba and Sony Pictures will join YouTube and Reuters and will appear in the main menu of the Nokia Video Center. RooftopComedy, ROK and Versaly Entertainment will be found in the Internet Videos category of the menu. CNN and IBN will only be available in the Asia-Pacific region.
