TIHANY, HUNGARY. HCA/HCTA Conference. A new thematic channel named Akadéminiai Tudas-Média (Science Technology-Media) will make its debut in Hungary in January 2008. Distributed by Amos, it will offer science, technology and educational programming and be public service in character. According to its president and CEO György Fábri, studies have shown interest in science in Hungary to be the second highest in the EU, while 45% of respondents in a survey have called for the launch of a channel such as Akadéminiai Tudas-Média.
