Canal+ is to reposition its suite of channels in the Nordic region, rebranding its film channels, and adding a new sports channel.
From November 1, Canal+ will divide its film output into five genre specific channels: Canal+ Hits, Canal+ Action, Canal+ Comedy, Canal+ Drama and Canal+ First. The format replicates the system introduced in the UK by Sky earlier this year.
Sports fans will also gain an extra channel in Canal+ Sport Extra, joining the two existing local, and pan-regional sports channels.
Canal+, operated in the Nordic region by C More Entertainment, continues to broadcast its two HD channels, Canal+ Film HD and Canal+ Sport HD.
