The French ministry of culture has announced it will launch mobile TV – or TNT Mobile as it is known locally – before the summer of 2008. The broadcasts will use the DVB-H standard.
The media authority CSA has already received 47 contributions to its public consultation on the launch of mobile TV from broadcasters, distributors, mobile operators and other industry players. The French government expects the broadcasts to be on the air before the start of the Summer Olympics in Bejing.
