Mediaset is continuing to experience growth on its terrestrial pay-TV operations. Mediaset Premium more than doubled revenues in the first six months of 2007 to €92.5 million. The figure includes €22.6 million from the sale of pay-TV football rights to other platforms. It is the second quarter in a row that Mediaset Premium has been in profit.
In the first six months of 2007 more than 420,000 of the new ‘rechargeable’ cards were sold. 2.5 million top ups were also made. To date more than 1.1 million pre-paid cards have been sold and 1.4 top ups made.
