The Canadian MSO Cogeco Cable is looking to acquire cable operations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), according to its president and CEO Louis Audet. Speaking during a media and telecom investor conference, he added that Cogeco has allocated between €100 million and €1 billion for acquisitions in the region. Although the company has yet to establish a presence in CEE, it bought the Portuguese operator Cabovisao-Televisao por Cabo for around $600 million (€434.5 million) in 2006.
