The Polish MSO Multimedia Polska will roll out its VOD service this month, according to the company’s president Andrzej Rogowski. Speaking to the local press, he added that he expects the service to have “several tens of thousands” of subscribers by the end of the year. Rogowski also said that Multimedia Polska plans to become the leading cable operator in Poland by 2010, accounting for around 35% of the market, and to spend between PLN60-90 million (€15.8 –23.7 million) a year on upgrading its networks. At present it finds itself in third place in terms of subscribers, behind UPC Polska and Vectra.
