Zone Romantica is to make its long awaited debut in the UK market on September 3. The Chellomedia channel is being parachuted into Channel 146 in the Sky EPG, currently occupied by the mixed format channel BEN, and next to Chellomedia’s suite of Zone Reality Channels starting on Channel 147.
Zone Romantica screens a mix of continuing dramas, soaps and real life inspired feature films targeting the female demographic. A deal with 20th Century Fox Television Distribution will bring David E. Kelley’s Ally McBeal and Chicago Hope to channel. Popular US daytime soaps Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless and Guiding Light will also be a part of the schedule.
The channel will broadcast from 08.00 to 03.00 daily and carry homeshopping between 05.00 and 08.00.
