Motorola will be showing the video and IPTV world it has created by acquiring a number of smaller companies such as the VOD server manufacturer Broadbus, compression and IPTV head-end vendors Tut and Modulus earlier this year.
The company is looking to offer an end-to-end solution for the service provider/aggregator, wanting to deliver a range of video content and services into the home and delivering a range of experiences via home set-top boxes and mobile phones.
On its set-top-boxes Motorola will demonstrate Follow-me TV, where content can be moved across multiple set-tops in the home. And of course, on-demand services. It will be extended to a seamless TV viewing experience that integrates DVB-H, IPTV, VOD and DVR.
Cable, DSL and ultra broadband options, such as high-speed channel bonding and DOCSIS 3.0 will round off Motorola’s IBC demonstration.
