Luci, by Technica Del Arte, turns any Smartphone or Windows Mobile PDA into a live reporter tool and audio editsuite to quickly get your audiorecordings ready for broadcast. Feeding the recordings straight into established work-flow systems using established codecs of choice.
Initially developed as project for Dutch international broadcaster Radio Nederland Wereld Omroep, the BBC earlier this year distributed around 1600 Luci equiped mobile phones, as part of a trialproject. The LUCI interface also allows users to add pictures, videos and external files and then publish wirelessly straight to radio, internet or blog.
