The Croatian private GSM operator Vipnet has posted revenues of €226.7 million for H1 2007, or 4% more than in the corresponding period last year. At the same time, its operating income was up by 16.9% to €48.3 million. Vipnet is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mobilkom Austria and a leading provider of wireless broadband, which accounted for 16% of the total broadband market in Croatia in July 2007. It also offers such TV channels as CNN and Eurosport on its 3G network. Separately, it has been confirmed that the incumbent Croatian telco T-HT will lay off 390 employees as part of its restructuring programme by the end of this year.
