Avinity Systems, developer of the RenderCast platform, will be providing private demonstrations of its XML content to video rendering platform at IBC. Demonstrations may be booked through the company’s website www.avinity.net. Additionally an operator, content provider, training session will take place in the Training Zone in Hall 11. The Avinity software allows content owners to convert their online content for delivery as video over IPTV and cable networks.
Unsurprisingly the first clients include Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant, as the concept resembles that of the high-end online publishing systems that take stories, images and other materials in the XML format from the editorial system and render these for the different formats of the regular printed newspaper, the online version, email newsletters, mobile alerts, and the archives. Through Rendercast a publisher could add TV as an additional delivery platform.
