According to data produced by the Russian Association of Communication Agencies (RACA), the ad market in the country was worth between R104.5 – 105.5 billion (€3 billion) in H1 2007, or 24.1% more than in the corresponding period in 2006. TV accounted for between R52-52.2 billion, or around half of the total, and was 27.4% up year-on-year. Internet advertising, though still a modest R2 billion in comparison, was meanwhile 52% higher than in H1 2006. RACA predicts that total ad spend for the year will amount to between R220-230 billion, with TV again accounting for around 50% of the total.
