Dutch telecom operator KPN is launching its own dedicated football club channel Planet Voetbal to be broadcast over the DTT network Digitenne and the IPTV service KPN Interactieve TV. Programming consists of material from three major Eredivisie clubs, Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV.
The channel will not carry any live coverage, as RTL and Tele2 own the live rights. RTL now also owns the highlights, which it acquired from Talpa, but the rights to these clips revert to the clubs after a day.
