German news channel n-tv has started narrowcasting to ‘infoscreens’ in German train and S-Bahn stations in the cities of Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Hamburg. The service has launched with 48 screens in place at S-Bahn stations, before the end of the year 59 screens will be active. Also, 13 very large “central infoscreens” in mainline train stations are active, with 20 screens planned by December. News will be updated continuously from 6 am till midnight and consists of video, text and still pictures.
