Swisscom saw a significant boost in its financial performance in the first half of the year thanks to the incorporation of the Italian broadband provider Fastweb into its operations. Its revenues in the period were 6.7% up year-on-year, reaching a total of CHF5.094 billion (€3.1 billion), while EBITDA was up by 12.6% to reach CHF2.042 billion. Net income meanwhile came to CHF936 million, a rise of 23.5%. Swisscom had 1.51 million DSL subscribers at the end of June, while the number of Fastweb customers stood at 1.2 million
