Local reports indicate that Poland’s TV Puls may change its name to Fox Polska. They add that the News Corp-backed station is likely to be re-launched later in the year or at the beginning of 2008 rather than in September, as had previously been planned. TV Puls is currently negotiating new programming deals with – amongst others – Poland’s leading independent producer ATM Grupa. It is also preparing to move into new studios in Warsaw and trying to increase its coverage. At present it can only be received in around 16% of TV homes terrestrially, though the figure rises to over 50% when cable and satellite homes are also included. Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. is understood to have already invested at least $50 million (€36.27 million) in the station.
