BSkyB is extending its Sky Anytime service to the two million owners of Sony’s handheld PSP gaming device in the UK and Ireland. The service will launch early next year, allowing PSP owners to download films, football matches and music videos.
Speaking at the announcement of the company’s annual results, BSkyB chief executive James Murdoch said the service could be extended to other devices such as the Ninteneto DS Lite, although no discussions have taken place.
PSP users will be able to download content to their devices either through their PC or over a wireless internet connection.
