The Polish DTH platform Cyfra+ has posted revenues of PLN453 million (€120.6 million) for H1 2007, or 8.89% more than for the same period in 2006. At the same time, its net profit amounted to PLN110 million, as opposed to PLN80 million. Despite facing strong competition from both Cyfrowy Polsat and n, Cyfra+ is understood to have increased its subscriber number – the most recently available figure was 950,000 – in the first half of the year. It has also launched two further HD channels, with National Geographic HD and Canal + Film HD now available in addition to Canal+ Sport HD.
