The leading Polish independent production company ATM Grupa has been given official permission to undertake a floation. The sale of 700,000 additional shares to existing shareholders is expected to raise up to PLN140 million (€ 37.38 million) and provide ATM Grupa with up to 60% of its planned investment funding in the period 2007-9. ATM Grupa recently acquired Profilm, one of the longest-established film and TV production companies in Poland. It also entered into an agreement with the publishing group Agora to create a 50/50 joint venture that will produce VOD content for distribution over the Internet. Start up costs of the venture, which still awaits approval from the competition authorities, have been put at PLN4 million.
