Poland’s Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) has set out the Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) terms under which the cable operator Multimedia Polska will have access to the incumbent telco TPSA’s infrastructure. The regulator has already issued similar WLR decisions to 10 other companies including Tel2 Polska, Telefonia Dialog and Polkomtel. Multimedia Polska had 602,000 subscribers as of March 31 this year. A leading provider of triple play services, it was also the first cable operator in the country to offer its subscribers HDTV channels.
