Spain’s Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT) has entered the row over the €151.9 million fine imposed last week by the EC on Telefónica by urging the Spanish government to appeal against the ruling. It has also criticised the EC for effectively interfering in what it regards as an internal, Spanish matter. CMT has previously investigated accusations that the telco acted uncompetitively in the wholesale broadband market but did not reach the same verdict as the EC.
