Türk Telekom has announced plans to invest $3.4 billion (€2.5 billion) on its infrastructure over the next four years. According to local reports, the work will be divided into two projects, with the first (Transformation TT-NGN Programme) replacing copper with fibre-optic wires and second (Rural Transformation) providing broadband Internet services for 4.3 million people living in rural parts of Turkey. In the latter instance, it will include the provision of VoIP and IPTV.
