A total of 78,950 Croatians subscribed to high speed Internet (ADSL, cable, WiMax or mobile) services in the first half of the year. As a result, the number of users stood at 330,750, or 7.5% of the population, at the end of June. Of this number, 52,929 (16%) used wireless access technology – mobile phones, the Home box or WiMax. There is space for further growth of broadband services in Croatia, as out of the 1.76 million Internet users, 1.43 million still had dial-up access.
