Enhanced EPG for Boxer

Swedish DTT platform has introduced an extended electronic programme guide for the growing number of digital video recorders now available in the Swedish market. The technical specifications for the Boxer Navigator are being made available free of charge to receiver manufacturers. Models approved by Boxer will be labelled Boxer Navigator. Programme information has been extended from 24 hours to seven days. Viewers can also search for upcoming programmes by genre, time, participants or keywords. A series link feature allows all the episodes of a particular programme to be recorded.

Subscribers wanted use the Boxer Navigator need to sign up for a Boxer package at a minimum cost of SEK39 per month. The free to air channels on Sweden’s DTT platform for non- Boxer Navigator subscribers, such as those from public broadcaster SVT, but with the standard 24 hour EPG.

Swedish manufacturer Dilog has launched the first receiver compatible with the Boxer Navigator. The twin tuner DT-550.
