UPC Czech Republic has increased the data limits of two of its Internet packages. The operator, which now also encompasses Karneval, is as of this month offering up to 20GB for its cheapest Flex and Starter packages, as opposed to the previous limits of 2MB and 10MB respectively. The move is seen as a direct response to the competition the cable operator faces from ADSL. It currently has around 220,000 Internet subscribers, while the incumbent telco Telefónica O2 and alternative providers have a combined total of over 500,000.
