TV Nova secured more ad revenue than any other media outlet in the Czech Republic in 2006. According to data produced by Marketing & Media and Trend Marketing, the gross figure amounted to CZK11,282.7 million (€393.9 million) – 18% less than in 2005 but still much higher than second-placed Prima TV, with CZK8,174.2 million. However, MTG-backed Prima TV’s total was 79.6% higher than in 2005.The Czech public broadcaster’s first channel CT1 was in third place with CZK3,776.8 million and its second CT2 in 14th with CZK373.9 million. However, no other TV channels appeared in the top 20 list, with all other positions being occupied by newspapers and magazines.
