Ukrainian Star TV has launched as a free-to-air channel on the Sirius satellite at five degrees East. The channel will also be distributed to cable operators in the Ukraine.
The newly launched channel is screening a mix of contemporary music, youth entertainment, lifestyle magazines, extreme sports and popular dramas. The station is owned by local entrepreneur Yuriy Liashchenko, who also the backer of the Star FM radio station.
Sirius already has a number of other Ukrainian channels available. These include Inter+, Novy Kanal, TET, Enter Film, Enter Music, TRK Ukraine, 5th Channel, Rada, Glas and Tisa.
