Romania’s parliament has approved new management at the national public broadcaster TVR. It has, according to local reports, also proposed Alexandru Sassu as the new chairman and general manager. A vote on Sassu’s appointment will take place in parliament next week. The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) has meanwhile presented a report on last year’s activities to parliament. The regulator’s head, Ralu Filip, died last month and Valentin Nicolau has just been approved as his successor.
