The Polish public broadcaster TVP plans to reduce its costs by up to 15%. According to local reports, it has presented a restructuring plan to a senate committee that also includes building up its information channel TVP Info and consolidating the station’s production facilities into a single unit. Although TVP still has a combined viewing share for all its services of around 50%, those for its leading channels are falling. In May, TVP1 claimed 23.62%, as opposed to 25.19% 12 months earlier, while TVP2 was down year-on-year from 21.16% to 18.93%.
