Germany’s E.ON has announced that it will sell its 50.1% stake in the Austrian telco ONE to a consortium of France Telecom and Mid Europa Partners for around €1.4 billion. By doing so, it will generate book gain profits of around €330 million and complete its transformation into a pure energy group. France Telecom currently holds 17.45% of shares in ONE, and the deal should be finalised sometime next week.
