Universal Pictures’ SVOD service PictureBox has launched on Tiscali TV in the UK. It follows the recent appearance of PictureBox on the n DTH platform in Poland. The service went live on June 7 and will include both current and library titles from NBC Universal. PictureBox is already available through Top Up TV and BT Vision.
Tiscali TV subscribers will pay a monthly fee of £5 to access the service that will be refreshed weekly. In total 28 movies will be available at any one time. Movies featured on the service will include The Interpreter; Friday Night Lights; Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason; American Wedding; Love Actually; Shaun of the Dead; 2 Fast 2 Furious; The Hulk and The Chronicles of Riddick. In all the library managed by NBC Universal International Television Distribution includes over 40,000 feature films.
