Franklin Resources has confirmed that its stake in Paris-based satellite operator Eutelsat Communications has passed the 10% threshold. According to information published by the French stock market regulator AMF, Franklin now holds 10.02% of Eutelsat’s capital, on both its own account and on behalf of Franklin Mutual Advisors and Templeton Worldwide.
Eutelsat’s other significant shareholders are Abertis Infraestructures SA (31.96%) and CDC Infrastructure (26.15%).
Separately, Intelsat is today expected to give details of its own sale, with Liberty and EchoStar tipped to make a joint bid for the company.
