According to Lars Svensson, the president of Ericsson Polska, mobile TV services could be introduced in Poland as soon as next year. Quoted in the local press, he is understood to have been speaking at a presentation in Warsaw yesterday (May 29) in which Ericsson outlined its multimedia strategy. The results of a study into mobile TV users undertaken by the company at the turn of the year in the US, UK, South Korea, Italy and France found that the majority (70% were male) and almost 40% watched programmes on a daily basis. In Central and Eastern Europe, another study undertaken by Ericsson has found that the greatest enthusiasm for future mobile TV services exists in Poland and Hungary.
