UPC Nederland today changes the line-up of its digital bouquet adding a few international channels. Three channels are premiering in the country, The History Channel and NBC Universal’s 13th Street and Sci-Fi Channel make their debut with a special Dutch language version. The three channels are also available on Belgium’s Telent as from today.
Other newcomers on the platform include the English language service Al Jazeera International, the dedicated Dutch travel channel Liberty TV and a number of thematic channels from Dutch public broadcasters. UPC Nederland will also launch its ‘true-VOD’ service across its network later in June. The on-demand service will probably cost 8.99 a month and will include the catch-up TV service from the public broadcasters, called ‘Uitzending Gemist’.
