Com Hem is replacing two key channels in its basic analogue package. Out go Eurosport Nordic and Discovery Mix to be replaced by TV4 Sport and Viasat’s documentary channel TV8. The changes will take place on September 1. The basic package is available to all 1.75 million subscribers, about 40% of all Swedish households.
The changes are a blow to Eurosport Nordic, given the widespread distribution it enjoyed on Sweden’s largest cable operator, although it will still be available in the net’s digital packages, enjoyed by around 393,000 subscribers. TV4 Sport has recently been rebranded from SPORT-Expressen. Discovery Mix is a compilation of elements from the Discovery’s suite of digital channels.
From September 1, Com Hem’s analogue pack will comprise SVT1, SVT2, SVT24, Barnkanalen, Kunskapskanalen, TV3, TV4, TV4 Plus, TV4 Sport, Kanal 5, TV6, TV8, Kanal 9, MTV and a local channel.
