Com Hem brings HD to former UPC homes

May 15, 2007 11.38 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Swedish cable giant Com Hem has extended its HD service to 300,000 homes on the former UPC network in Stockholm. It means that Com Hem’s four-channel HD line-up is now available to 570,000 homes in the Swedish capital.

“This marks a milestone for Com Hem in the harmonisation of the households from UPC that can now receive the same digital package from Com Hem and  subscribe to our small, medium and large packages,” said TV product manager Christofer Peilitz.

Canal+ Film HD, Discovery HD, SVT HD and Voom HD are available for a monthly SEK99 (€10.68), though Canal+ Film HD requires a subscription to the premium channel.
