The closing evening of the Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast live on the web from Helsinki on May 12. Fans of the contest will have the chance to follow the 52nd edition of the Contest not only on their regular television screen but also live on www.eurovision.tv, the official website.
The website has been created by Italian firm Digital Magics and offers additional information, interaction and entertainment in real time. “This online space offers a library rich in images, videos and information about the contest participants for the fans from all over the world,” said a company statement.
Viewers can also upload karaoke versions of the songs using their own camera or webcam and participate in the “Be a Winner” competition.
Coverage from the Finnish public broadcaster YLE will also be available in the HD format and will be screened live on channels including SVT HD and BBC HD.
