The Czech national commercial station TV Nova continues to be a cash cow for its owners CME. Q1 2007 results issued by the US investment company show that its net revenues in the quarter amounted to $51,510,000 (€37,904,264), 27% more than in the corresponding period last year and almost of third of CME’s total in Central and Eastern Europe. All its other stations, with the notable exception of Ukraine’s Studio 1+1, also posted improved results, with Croatia’s Nova TV almost doubling its revenues year-on-year to $7,232,000. Aside from terrestrial TV stations, most of them national, CME also operates a growing number of thematic services. They include Acasa, Pro Cinema, and Sport.ro in Romania and Kino in Ukraine.
